The pathway down to the heart of the Mithril Hall is full of small side passages that lead to small residences that house several dwarven families each. Running down the downward sloped walkway towards the Thane's residence, you notice the ceiling ascending upward until it is lost in the darkness under the mountain. The walkway itself begins to get wider and wider as you approach the Temple District where the Thane lives. The Dwarves have taken care to include temples for every deity known to them, even the lesser followed ones like Olidammara and Obad-hai, which generally go against the sensibilities of the Dwarves. The only one missing is a temple to Gruumsh, the god of the orcs. The council proposed one so small that scarcely a single orc could have fit inside the room, but even this nearly led to a full scale uprising. Directly opposite the Thane's residence is the largest of all the temples in the district. The temple of Moradin is large enough to fit all the other temples combined within its walls and can easily accommodate every dwarf that resides in the Mithril Halls. There is scarcely an hour of the day that there is not some sort of gathering near the temple of Moradin.
As you reach the top of the steps to the Thane's front door, you are stopped by a very strong looking dwarf in shining full plate and a ceremonial (though still functional) Greataxe at his side. The guard holds out his hand to stop you and says,
"State your business with the Thane"
